FOUNDER OF MY ELEVATOR PITCH FOR GOD, ENTREPRENEUR, AND AUTHOR
Bruce grew up in Lafayette, California and received a BA in Political Science from UCLA as well as a Graduate Gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America. After graduating, Bruce operated his family’s 100 year-old retail fine jewelry business for twenty-two years. Bruce had a passion for computers and graphic arts, so he changed careers and joined his best friend at a national technical publishing company for seventeen-years as the company’s Publisher, where they invented the modern labor law poster industry, including the first “All- On-One Labor Law Poster” and “Labor Law Poster Compliance Plan.”
Aside from being the Founder of this website, My Elevator Pitch for God, Bruce was the co-editor of the book titled, Elevator Pitches For God: Volume 1, and author of the cookbook titled, Immediate Chef: No Previous Experience Required.
Bruce’s goals for this website are: To introduce more people all around the world to God and strengthen the faith of those who already believe in a non-political and non-religious way, to bring people together, find common ground between different faiths, create meaning in people's lives, and start to move the world in a better direction.

Perfect Timing

The coagulant in your body—what helps make your blood clot—is Vitamin K.”(1) Did you know that on the eighth day of a newborn’s life—and only on the eighth day—it has 110% of the average daily coagulant that their body will have in its lifetime?(2, 3)
Amazingly, the eighth day is also the exact same day that God commanded the Jews to circumcise their newborn boys—Not the first few days or after the eighth day—It explicitlystates in Leviticus 12:3, “On the eighth day, the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.” (4) Is this a coincidence?
According to abundant medical research and commentary,(5) a newborn's blood-clotting ability dramatically increases on its eighth day. In the words of Ayala Abrahamov, M.D., Senior Professor of Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem:(6)
“The system of blood clotting coagulation depends on certain types of proteins, called platelets…(7) These materials… work in sequence [together with various enzymes] until a stable clot called fibrin is formed. In the first days after birth, the liver is not yet developed enough to survive any surgical operations, which could cause massive bleeding and lead to the death of the newborn, whose body simply does not have the ability to stop the blood flow on its own. Physiologically, until the eighth day, the liver slowly develops, until on the eighth day itself, it is mature enough to fulfill its role to create the clots necessary to stop bleeding.”
Dr. Armand James Quick,(8) who served for years as the head of the Department of Biochemistry at Marquette University in Wisconsin, specializing in Blood Research, was astounded at the uncanny correlation between the development of the body's ability to stop bleeding and the timing of circumcision.
Dr. Quick developed important blood diagnosis tests, considered pioneering discoveries in the field, for determining blood-clotting time and the amount of the prothrombin hormone in the blood. He notes in his writings that during the first days of a newborn’s life, the amount of blood clotting material is limited so that even a small cut is liable to cause serious danger for a newborn, but by the eighth day, the ability of the newborn’s blood to clot grows dramatically.
In Dr. S.I. McMillen’s book, None of These Diseases,(9) he writes that in the first days of life, newborns face a serious dearth of clotting substances; however, by the eighth day, the levels of clotting material—prothrombin—reaches 110% of normal!
Dr. McMillen said, this research “reminds us that 4,000 years ago, God commanded Abraham to circumcise his son, specifically on the eighth day—not because of years of scientific research, but because of the decree of the One who created the blood's ability to clot.”
Some people trust medical research more than God's Word. I believe God created the world in a way that would show that as medical research advanced, the proof of His existence would become perfectly clear.(10) God’s wisdom and timing are perfect.

2) Technically, Vitamin K is a fat-soluble vitamin, a nutrient/cofactor that the liver uses to produce procoagulants (clotting factors). Prothrombin is a protein (clotting factor) produced by the liver using Vitamin K.
The “Blood-Clotting Cascade”: As a side note, the body's system for clotting blood is a complex biochemical pathway involving multiple interacting proteins. Teleological arguments propose that the absence of a single factor would render the entire system non-functional, making it unlikely to have arisen from unguided evolution.
3) Modern medicine does not consider the first seven days "too dangerous" for surgery. Thousands of circumcisions are performed safely on days 1–3 in hospitals worldwide, provided the infant receives a Vitamin K shot at birth. The main premise of this argument is that 4,000 years ago, when God commanded Abraham to circumcise his son on the eighth day, this medical information was not known and a “Vitamin K shot” was not available.
4) When Abraham was 99 years old, God appeared to him and instructed him to circumcise himself and all the male members of his household, including his 13-year-old son Ishmael.
Genesis / Parshas Lech Lecha / Chapter 17 / Verses 26-27
“On that very day was Abraham circumcised with Ishmael his son, and all the people if his household, born in his household and purchased for money from a stranger, were circumcised with him.”
After the circumcision, God sent angels to inform Abraham that his wife Sarah would give birth to Isaac, the long-awaited heir to Abraham’s tradition. Abraham and Sarah’s son Isaac was the first person to have their circumcision, their Brit Milah, performed on their eighth day of life.
The commandment of Circumcision, the everlasting sign of the Jewish people’s indelible connection to God, the “covenant of circumcision,” (Brit Milah), is written about in:
Genesis / Parshas Lech-Lecha / Chapter 17 / Verses 7-27
The requirement to perform Brit Milah (circumcision), even under persecution, is rooted in the biblical covenant in Genesis and strengthened by Talmudic commentary highlighting that Jews historically risked their lives to maintain this commandment. The obligation to circumcise on the eighth day is absolute, as it is considered the foundational sign of the eternal covenant with God.
Talmudic Context (Shabbat 130a): The Talmud famously states, "Every commandment that the Jews have accepted upon themselves with joy, such as circumcision, endures," explaining that even in times of persecution, Jewish people have sacrificially kept this mitzvah.
Midrash/Historical Perspective: The commitment to the covenant is emphasized through historical accounts, such as during the Greek/Syrian persecution (The Hanukkah story), where performing circumcision was seen as defiance of decrees banning Jewish life.
While saving a life (Pikuach Nefesh) usually takes precedence over commandments, the profound significance of circumcision has traditionally led to its observance even in high-risk scenarios.

He wrote, “We should certainly praise the scientists who worked so hard for so many years to discover that the safest time to perform circumcision is the eighth day. Yet, at the same time we applaud this new discovery, we can hear a resounding echo of these findings from the pages of the Bible.”
10) In addition to this amazing fact about the day of circumcision, there are other important health benefits that removing the foreskin has been found to accrue.
The explanation is as follows: In every part of the body, the skin is flush with the layers below it, thus shielding against the intrusion of various types of bacteria. Only with regards to the foreskin, however, does the opposite apply—it actually engenders a significant increase in disease causing bacteria, spores, and fungus.
The skin of the foreskin is not securely flush with the corona, and the small gap near the head of the male member allows various infectious agents to enter the empty space. This warm, dark and moist area is highly susceptible to the cultivation of germs and infectious disease. Removal of the foreskin allows the area to be maintained in a hygienic and safe manner.
As a result, every male in the British royal family undergoes circumcision performed by a Jewish mohel. King Charles III, was circumcised in December 1948, by Rabbi Jacob Snowman M.D., M.R.C.S. (November 24, 1871 –February 28, 1959), the official mohel of London's Jewish community.
Furthermore, it has recently been discovered that the chances of being infected by HIV are six times greater among men with a foreskin.
Still, anyone can see that the real reason for circumcision is not to be found in its health benefits, but in its spiritual and exalted rationale. However, every spiritual commandment mandated by God also has a physical benefit.
